LOCAL WOOD · THOUGHTFUL MAKING

A little of Cambridge,
made to last.

Locally sourced wood, patiently prepared and transformed by hand into pens, spoons and bowls. Every piece begins with a tree and ends with something unique.

01

FROM TREE TO OBJECT

Wood has a past.
It deserves a future.

Made of Cambridge is a small, independent practice shaped by the timber close to home. I look for character rather than perfection: grain, knots, marks of weather and time. Then, slowly, I make something useful from it.

02

THE PROCESS

  1. 01

    Source

Fallen, felled or rescued local timber is selected for its story and character.

  2. 02

    Prepare

It is cut, dried and given the time it needs before it can become something else.

  3. 03

    Make

Each object is shaped by hand, responding to the wood as it reveals itself.

03

WHAT I MAKE

Objects for
everyday rituals.

01

Pens

Made to be picked up, used and kept.

02

Spoons

Simple forms that feel at home in the hand.

03

Bowls

For the table, the shelf and the small things worth holding.

NO TWO PIECES ALIKE

Every piece of wood
is already becoming
something.
